compliance with the instruction from PT. DWI CIPTA USAHA refer to their instruction the
assigned marine surveyor did attend on board “BG.
KSD 10” On October 28-29, 2013 whilst she was alongside at the jetty PT.
Batam Mitra Sejahtera Shipyard, Tanjung Uncang, Batam - Indonesia in order to
carry out of Condition Survey.

The BG. KSD 10 is deck
cargo barge of all steel welded construction with provided with steel sideboard
completed with removable steel doors and have ramp door at forward and two
skegs. She was built on 2012 under classification of Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia
(BKI) regulation and registered at Batam, Indonesia.
The port and starboard side shell plate of barge’s hull generally were
found in good condition.
Theconditions survey of side board with 3000 mm height generally were to be in good
condition with some indentation at several places and ramp door was found in
good condition.
Towing smith brackets, chaffing
chains bridle, bollard bite were found in good condition.
Main deck was found in
slightly rusty but it’s considered in fair condition.
1 (one) unit of winch
anchor c/w engine anchor located at stern part with compartment reportedly in working order.
The condition of the barge was
generally appeared to be in good condition.

CERTIFICATION
In
our inspection we noted that the ship certificates were not available on board
INSPECTION
The Vessel “TB. KSD 09” was
surveyed on October 28, 2013 at 17.00
hours up to 18.30 hours local time and
continue to next day on October 29, 2013 at 08.00 hours local time up to
completion at 10.00 hours local time while she was alongside at jetty of PT.
Batam Mitra Sejahtera Shipyard, Tanjung Uncang, Batam, Indonesia.
FINDINGS
Side Board and Stay Cargo Stanchion
The side board with 3000 mm
height made from steel plate and consist stay stanchion at port side, starboard
side, forward and stern were found to be in good condition.
Deck Plates
The barge deck was physically appeared
slightly rusty but it considered to be in fair condition.
Manholes
The barge’s manhole at port and starboard that equipped
with covers and cemented were found in good condition.
Bollards
Bollard bite were provided on board at
portside and starboard side were found
to be in good condition.
Towing Brackets
2 (two) units towing bracket fixed at forward with chains bridle were
found in satisfactory condition.
Winch and Anchor
1 (one) unit winch engine c/w stockless anchor located at stern part
was provide with winch compartment were found in satisfactory condition and it is reportedly in working order.
Tire Fenders
The barge’s tire fender at port and starboard side were found in
poor condition.
Should be provided with additional tire fender to prevent any
damages to the vessel during vessel maneuvering alongside.
Hull
The transom plate, raked
plate was found in good condition, both skegs were found in good condition as
well.
Generally conditions
of hull shell plating were appeared in good condition.
SURVEYOR’S FINDING
Based on our survey findings, we recommended
the following equipments are noted to be provided on board with the details as follows:
§ To
provided with light navigation solar cell type on the vessel at port, starboard
side and stern.
§ To
provided with additional tire
fender around the vessel at port and
starboard side to prevent any damages during vessel maneuvering alongside.
§ No have photocopy of certificate was given to
surveyor for clarify the seaworthiness condition of the vessel.
SURVEYOR’S NOTE
§ Based on our inspection to the vessel , we are
on the opinion that the vessel is
to be fit operate as deck cargo barge
consider for 230 feet cargo loaded.
§ This
survey doesn’t represent for condition survey of part hidden/inaccessible on under
water parts which could not be
inspected on this occasion.
