In compliance with the request from Messrs., Intracon Far East
Pte Ltd, Singapore, reference to their email message dated July 07, 2011
the assigned Marine Surveyor Indonesia did attend on July 08, 2011
at Komplek Pergudangan Benda Permai, Tangerang in order to carry out a “CARGO
DAMAGE SURVEY” on the alleged damaged 1x40' RC#BMOU 9753630 stc 21 pallets
clementines ex M/V MOL DIRECTION, voy. 9905B - Transit from Cape Town to
Jakarta - Shipper: Favourite Fresh Exports / Consignee: PT Jaka Marintama in
the container
Easy
Peelers Clementines of Five (5) counts were in 60’s , 75’s, 90’s, 105’s and
120’s.
The
container contain with 2,132 ( Two Thousand One Hundred And Thirty Two) cartons
of Easy
Peelers Clementines were stuffed into 1 x 40 FT. HC. Reefer Container
No. BMOU 9753630 and
shipped onboard the vessel, M.V. “MOL DIRECTION” Voyage 9905B
at Cape Town, Africa and bound for Indonesia.

cartons box with marking FAVOURITE from supplier NOORDHOEK and 1,612 cartons
box
with marking CEDAR from supplier CEDARPACK.
Inspection
limited to retained 1,148 cartons box consist of 141 cartons box with marking
FAVOURITE, 1,007 cartons box with marking CEDAR and another 984 cartons box
distributed to retailer prior our attendance.
Inspection
of Easy Peelers Clementines of Three (3) counts were conducted and noted that
the
oranges were exposed and infected with diseases mentioned as Sour Rot,
Green Mould Rot and
Rhizopus Rot due to soil diseases. Creasing and puffy disorder were due to old
produces/aging
and Rind pitting and stem end pitting were due to the produces
exposed to a low/cold temperature
of (-) 0.5 Deg. C against the standard
recommended optimum transit temperature of (+) 4.0 Deg.
C.
Based
on our findings at the time and place of inspection, we are of the opinion that
the damage to
the consignment was due to preshipment nature and disorder as
mentioned above due to diseases.
Mostly
the cargoes from CEDARPACK suppliers in sound condition.

Survey was carried out on July
08, 2011 from 11.45 up to 16.00 hrs LT at the consignee’s warehouse, PT. Sinar
Harapan Baru , Pergudangan Bandara Benda Permai Blok E/3 Jl. Raya Prancis Kav 68, Dadap,
Tangerang, Banten – Indonesia.
Based
on the obtained information from the personnel of PT. Sinar Harapan Baru, we
noted as follows :
§ On July
05, 2011 the container No. BMOU 9753630 was discharged from MV. MOL DIRECTION
to the container yard of Jakarta International Container Terminal.
§ On
July 05, 2011 at 19.00 hours LT, the container departed from the container yard
to the consignee’s warehouse.
§ On
July 05, 2011 at 23.00 hours LT the container arrived at the warehouse of PT. Sinar
Harapan Baru, Dadap - Tangerang.
§ On
July 06, 2011 from 08.30 up to 14.00 hours LT unstuffing the cargoes from the
container at the warehouse of PT. Sinar Harapan Baru, Dadap - Tangerang.
§ On
July 08, 2011 from 11.45 hrs up to 16.00 hours LT survey was conduct and the
inspection limited to retained 1,148 cartons box and another 984 cartons box
distributed to retailer prior our attendance without complaint, the container
contain with 2,132 cartons box separated with 2 (two) marking FAVOURITE and
CEDAR.
- Having perused the available
documents and information received, we were given to know that the cargo was
shipped on board MV. MOL DIRECTION on June 06, 2011, in Café Town Loading
Port.
- The cargo was kept in the
container BMOU 9753630, from the commencement of shipping at loading port up to
unloading at PT. Sinar Harapan Baru, Dadap, Tangerang, for about 30
days with temperature – 0.5 º Celsius.
- The
container contain with 2,132 ( Two Thousand One Hundred And Thirty Two) cartons
of Easy Peelers Clementines were stuffed into 1 x 40 FT. HC. Reefer Container
No. BMOU 9753630 and shipped onboard the vessel, M.V. “MOL DIRECTION” Voyage 9905B

§ Based

§ Container
based on the cargo outturn, pulp temperature taken, supply and return air
suggested that the container was in good order and condition during transit.
